1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PawZen ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PawZen is an AI-powered training companion for reactive dog owners. The Service provides personalized daily training plans, walk logging, trigger tracking, progress visualization, community trigger maps, and an AI coaching assistant. PawZen is a support tool — it is not a substitute for professional veterinary or behavioral advice.

3. Important Disclaimer

PawZen is not a veterinarian, certified dog trainer, or veterinary behaviorist. The training plans and AI coaching are based on established behavior modification protocols (BAT 2.0, LAT, CC/DS, Relaxation Protocol) but are generated by algorithms, not licensed professionals.

For dogs with bite history, severe aggression, or complex behavioral issues, we strongly recommend working with a certified veterinary behaviorist (DACVB) or certified applied animal behaviorist (CAAB) in addition to using PawZen. Never put yourself, your dog, or others at risk by relying solely on any app for behavior modification.

4. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

5. Early Access Program

During the early access period, the Service is provided free of charge. Features may change, be added, or be removed as we iterate on the product. Early access users who provide feedback help shape the final product. When the Service moves to a paid model, early access users will be offered preferential pricing.

6. Subscription and Pricing

After the early access period, PawZen will offer a paid subscription at $9.99/month. Prices may change with 30 days' notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of all data you enter into PawZen (dog profiles, walk logs, notes, photos). By using the community trigger map feature, you grant us a license to use your anonymized location data to display aggregated trigger information to other users. You can export your data at any time and delete your account to remove your personal data.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false or misleading information to trigger maps
  • Use the Service to harm animals in any way
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or access the AI models
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Share your account credentials with others

9. Limitation of Liability

PawZen is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any injury to persons or animals, property damage, or other harm resulting from the use of training recommendations provided by the Service. You assume all risk when implementing training techniques with your dog. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any changes that materially reduce functionality, and will offer data export options.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated terms, you may delete your account.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which PawZen operates. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, then binding arbitration if necessary.
